- How old were you when you played your first board game and which board game was it?
«I don’t know…It depends if we are talking about traditional games like «Le Nain Jaune» and the «Mistigri» (Old maid) at my grand parents around 3 years old or board game like «Richesse du Monde» (Wealth of Nations) around 8 years old»
- why and how did you decide to design a board game?
«The magazine «Jeux et Stratégie» is to be blamed who organized amateur game designers contest. It make me dream when I was 20 years old but I didn’t have any ideas. This only 20 years later that I will give a leg up»
- What are your 3 favorite board games?
«Gyges, because it is the Graal of abstract 2 players games. Modern, simple, deep, genius.
Magic the Gathering because the world of modern board games undergone major changes following this game.
Mow, because I play it during every lunch break for the past 4 years whitout getting tired of it.»
- For you, what is the best combination for a succesful board game?
«For a succesful game you need, 70% work, 20% talent and 10% luck. Therfore if you haven’t enough talent or/and luck, you could work more.»
- How do you proceed to design a game?
«I trust my desires»
- What tips could you give to someone who want to design a board game?
«Do it with passion, and forget right away the desire to make it your prancipal source of incomes.»
- Could you give us a small info about your future projects?
«2014 should be a big year with maybe 7 to 8 new games if the publishers keep their engagements. Inculding 2 games more «gamer» than I usually do which really mean a lot to me.»
